Developed a tracing algorithm that combines diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from peripheral ECUs with logs from zonal controllers using statistical methods, designed to run on in-vehicle embedded systems.
Built a Java proof of concept to demonstrate feasibility.
When implemented in production, the approach indicates potential for up to 30% data compression, improved encryption and anonymisation, simpler backend processing, and shorter workshop repair time.
The patent is currently pending and an IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology submission is in preparation.

Raised software and hardware quality in the release network through new tests, leading to projected annual savings of EUR 150k.
